With the UserClient software and a webcam you can make yourself visible to our chat hosts.
This piece of software is no dialer and using it will cause no extra costs for you.
The UserClient only transmits video, no voice.
There is no need to install the software, but you are free to keep it stored on your PC for using it when you like.
You just need a webcam attached to your computer, and the show can begin:
If you have a customer login and password on our server and you usually pay by coins, start the UserClient software and log using the "Login" button of the software.
Select a chat host you want to chat with from the catalog as usual, and log in to the chat, too.
As long as your UserClient software is connected and you are connected to a chat host, the chat host can see your live images.
If you call a chat host by phone, do not use login and password. Instead you will receive a key from the chat host which you have to use to see the chat host.
Enter the same key in the UserClient software after pressing the "Key" button.
As long as your UserClient software is connected and you are connected to a chat host, the chat host can see your live images.
Have fun !
Please be aware that not only you but also all things and people around you in the field of view of your camera are visible to the chat host by using this software.
Do respect the privacy of other persons and no not keep any secret information in the field of view of your webcam.
The main window shows you a preview of your own image. A chat host can see the same image in a lesser quality.
To log in using your login and password, press the "Login" button.
To log in using a key you got from a chat host by telephone, press the "Key" button.
When you are connected, one of the buttons will be labeled "Logout". Pressing that button will disconnect you from the server without exiting the UserClient.
If you have to adjust the camera settings or you want to change the language of the software, press the "Options" button.
To exit the software immediately and disconnect from the server, you can use the "Exit" button.
In this window you have to enter your login and password you normally use for entering the chat with a chat host.
When you check "remember login and password", the UserClient will remember them for you.
After pressing the "Login" button in this window, the UserClient will connect to the server.
From now on each chat host you are connecting to can see you, too.
In the status window of the UserClient software you can see whether or not the sender is watching you. Read more about that below.
When calling a chat host by phone, you will be given a key. You use that key to watch the chat host in your browser.
If you want that same sender to be able to see you, too, enter that same key into the "Key" field of this window.
After clicking the "Login" button, the UserClient software will connect to the server, and the chat host can watch you at any time he or she likes.
In the status window of the UserClient software you can see whether or not the sender is watching you. Read more about that below.
In this window you can adjust the settings of the UserClient software. If you want to switch the software to another language, you can change it here.
After changing the language, you must restart the software to make the changes take effect.
Note: The UserClient is using german as the standard language, so by changing the "Sprache" you can switch to the english language.
In case the UserClient software does not recognize your camera, or the settings for it are incorrect, you can adjust the settings here yourself.
By pressing one of the buttons "Format" or "Source", the UserClient will open your camera's property dialogs. As these dialogs come from the manufacturer of your camera, there is no general help available for these settings.
The status window
In the lower right corner of the main window there is a small status window which tells you exactly what the software is doing at the moment an whether or not somebody can see you.
Here you will learn what each of the status images mean.
This status image tells you that the UserClient Software is trying to connect to the server. You will see this after entering your login data and pressing the "Login" button
or after entering the key of the sender you are talking to at the moment. Connecting to the server should not last longer than some seconds.
If the UserClient is not able to establish a connection, please check if you are at all connected to the internet.
The UserClient informs you with a short message when the connection to the server has been established.
The UserClient software is not a dialer software. It cannot create an internet connection itself. However, some Windows systems are configured to connect to the internet when one program needs an internet onnection.
That is the reason why you should not let the UserClient Software run unattended because it might keep your internet connection alive.
This is the status window after the UserClient has successfully established a connection to the server.
Now, the chat host you are currently chatting with or talking to by phone can see you are using the UserClient.
The chat host can now at any time connect to your live video to see you.
You will see the red status image when the chat host you are chatting with or talking by phone is connected to your camera.
As long as the status image is red, you are visible to the chat host and the chat host can see you on his or her computer.
If you do not want the chat host to see you any longer, you can either press the "Logout" or the "Exit" button of the software.
When you press the "Exit" button, the software will be closed, too. Using the "Logout" button, you will be disconnected from the server only and the software will keep running.
The UserClient informs you with a short note that the connection to the server was disconnected.
Please be aware that not only you but also all things and people around you in the field of view of your camera are visible to the chat host by using this software.
Do respect the privacy of other persons and no not keep any secret information in the field of view of your webcam.
